Guided Tours of Fort Furggels

An authentic insight into Switzerland’s national defense

What to Expect

A guided tour offers direct insight into one of the most significant artillery fortifications of Switzerland’s national défense. The route leads through tunnels, technical installations, gun positions and areas that remained in military operation for decades. You will learn how the fortress was structured, how it functioned and what tasks the crew performed during daily operations.

The tour reveals both historical context and practical insight into the infrastructure that allowed the installation to operate independently over long periods.
